Open Water Success, Finally
« on: Apr 04, 2009, 06:08 PM »
I have been stuck up in Maine for a while and finally have been able to come down and fish here in MA again. I ended going to a stocked pond here in the north east and wasn't disappointed. I ended up catching three fish between 14 and 14 1/2 inches and they were very healthy. One of the fish was enormous for its size. I also lost 4 more fish, oh well.

The top and center fish were very fat!

Great size fish for stockys
I'll have to take my buddy over there this week.
He had surgery a couple of weeks ago and his wife wants him out of the house. The shore fishing there will be fine for him.
Check your PM's. I asked you a question that I know you have the answer too.
Thanks

No powerbait!!! I hate that stuff. All artificials! Mepps and daredevils.

i agree with you on the powerbait. it gets boring waiting for a bit. it's more enjoyable catching them on a moving bait. i usually troll for them by kayak with mepps, small spoons, or black colored joe's flies. i fish the southeastern part of ma. what part of mass do you fish?
