Waterfowler,........I know people that eat them all the time.  If I am finding the blacks, greys, or yellows I don't bother with them.

Yeah princecraft I'm the same way, although today that's all i could find. When i went to cook them they just fell apart and got all mushy not worth much to me. I found a good mess last year around a bunch of chinease elm stumps that have been there for a while, but so far this year i have not found one there, do you guys find yellows around the same trees as you would find greys?

Better check your identification... Those are false morels and can be poisonous.

Youre right I should have. I died at 10 pm Sunday. After eating a big meal of "False Morels" and fish.  ::)

Ive been doing this for years (20) or so. I wont pick a shroom I cant Identify as edible. Thanks for your concern. My Dad found a false morel and stomped it on sunday. Thanks for posting the website of false morels too. Its good for newer people to see.
