South Bay Champlain
« on: May 03, 2009, 07:58 PM »
Hit South Bay today for a few hours. Tried drifting shiners, the wind was too much, way too fast of a drift. Got one big hit, ran drag for a second then came off.  :-[ I then tried anchoring on a drop- off, not much action. I did get a bunch of White perch of decent size once I moved up to 8 feet of water. Water is at 59 at the surface, still cloudy. It always seems to be windy on that bay even when it is calm elsewhere. Went out to the main lake, water is high, into the trees.  58 to 59 surface temp there as well.
