The curse of Trooper Bri - CT river 6/7
« on: Jun 08, 2009, 10:09 PM »
Well, made plans to fish with a friend of mine last night for catfish on the CT river, and my curse kicked in. Kinda sucks since i don't get out much these days. Was hoping to post some pics of fat cats. Oh well...
Once in a while i'll jump on a boat with someone who can land a pile of fish when i'm not around. The 2 times before this was for pike, and also on the river. At least my curse is limited to rivers.

We launched out of Wethersfield around 7PM, to a breezy warm night. Summer is definitely close! Matt is a catfish king, and regularly hauls in channel cats over 10lbs from his honey holes. Well, last night i put my curse on his productive spots. I zilched out, and he only managed a couple small ones.
We had a good time BS'ing, and killing a few beers. Enjoyed a cigar and food as well. We finally called it quits before midnight.

So. Thanks Matt, and sorry about the curse. When are we going again?

Slow fishing is better than no fishing.
