De Ruyter
« on: Jun 29, 2009, 07:26 AM »
Hit De Ruyter saturday.Wind & rainy.Fish bite was slow.Got one nice bass and a fewe pics.Went again yesterday.Fishing was little better.Bright with a little ripple.Morning bite was slow but because of the nice weather stayed till noon.Best fishing was from about 10 - 11:30 out past the weeds in 20' of water.Bite was still slow but managed 3 nice bass and one nice eye.Lost a big eye about half way up the water column. They were biting light.Pulled the minnow out of it's mouth. Also caught some nice gills and a real fat rock bass all in the same area. The gills were grubby but all the other fish are on tonights menu. All caught on minnows and floating jig heads tipped with crawlers.
