Vinyl seats, mildew remover
« on: Apr 15, 2010, 12:50 PM »
what are you guys using to clean the mildew off your vinyl seats? i used to use some fabric and vinyl cleaner, i think armor all made it, but i can't find it anymore. it worked ok, but not great. lots of scrubbing involved but it did the trick. anything better out there?

Just don't get Spray Nine on any non-anodized aluminum.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

thanks. i ended up buying some mildew remover at walmart, in the boat section. so we'll see how that works. i found the marine spray stuff at a local marina, but i couldn't justify spending $18 for that, when the other stuff was $6.

I use those "Majic Erasers" with water.  It does the trick.

Go to any local large auto center even walmart, look in auto section. There are a lot of vinyl cleaners out there, get one for vinyl roofs or rag tops etc...

If you have a fresh air machine (has to be an ionizer) run it full blast in an enclosed boat overnight. The mildew wipes right off.
