i  finally  got  something worth  reporting !  been fishing  one  of  my  favorite  gill  spots  ,  and  totally  crushed  them !  a guy that  keeps  his  boat  there watched and  timed me ,  during the  peek of  the  bite  i  was  hooking  3  gills a  min ...then i  got tired  lol  ...was  great  ...bead  head  pheasant tail  size 12 was  the  fly .....5 wt  st  croix   life  is  good   ;D

Not much more fun than gills on the fly ;D Good for you Trapper.

I finally picked a reel for the 5wt TFO Axiom I built. I tried most of my collection and liked the traditional reels the best. Something sweet about the sound of click and pawl.

So I bought a Red Truck Diesel  ;D




The thing is built like a truck and smooth as silk. I had some real good smallmouth make it sing this morning.

Very nice Bob!! Made in the USA to boot!!! ;) Josh and I visited his honey hole acrossed the street tonight. Used a couple of a couple 'Ol Farts foam flies!!!! ;D Bluegills and sunnies like 'em! ;)

Well, designed in the USA...made overseas. Cute the way they do that :-\

I bought it from Leland and talked to them before the purchase. It was simple, If I wasn't happy, send it back. I'm happy.

They'll take it in for their upgrade program as well. What they do is sell it on Ebay for your asking price at no charge to you and give you a gift card for the full amount to use as you like to upgrade or buy something else.

time  was limited  today ,  had  to take  mrs  trap  for a  MRI  did  manage  a  few  cast ,  plan on a  good assualt  in the  morning ;D

now  that  i  can  get  out  some  ,i  realize  how  much  i  really  love   watching  a  fish  rise   for   something  i  stuck  together ....  for  me  theres  no  better  feeling  and  i  love  seeing  the  take  and  feeling  weight  when i  first  gently  lift  that  rod  ....  i  so    many   people  interested  in  tring  this  sport ,  it  does  me  ggood  to  see  that  ....  get  out  there  and  enjoy ,  and  if  ya  have  a  question  this  is  a  great  place  to  ask  !  HT  where  the  heck  are  you?????
