If a lake or pond is closed to ice fishing, you can`t cut a hole to fish through, pretty basic. The rest of the stuff is nonsense.

i fish 52 weeks a year,some  way,open water,hard water, lake, stream, from shore,from a boat

I plan on hitting my favorite pond in Pharaoh lake wilderness on opening day. I just hope there is no ice on it when I get back there. Only one way to find out....

Putts pond has been open water for about a week.  The trout ponds in the area should be good by the opener

Looking for a little help dose anyone know if follensby clear or horseshoe are still iced over I live around 45 minutes away & really don't have the time to check this week
