2011 SALMON RIVER - SALMON AND STEELHEAD Thread

     It's a Friday and April first .... looks like many people bailed on the trout streams and came here, theres a parking lot full up there, we'll see what happens to the bite later.

What do you mean trout streams? ? ? ?  Isn't the SR a trout stream? ? ? ? From the looks of those pics it is!!!! I'd pass on 12-14"ers for 20+"ers too!!!!

             Fishing definitely got alot trickier this evening with the boats and people , I had to pull out all the stops to come up with a 2 for 7 evening... Me and the lodgers all fished together in the same area along with my buddy deadeyes. Rigged deadeyes up with a noodle rod and float set up, ( his first) and sure enough he was the hot rod and went 2 for 3 with nice browns before me Jerry Paul or Dave even had a fish on .. He had a blast kicking are butts    All in all ... we all hooked about the same amount of fish in the end , but worked much harder for them then the previous 2 days... Fished 330pm til 730pm...  Dave and Jerry blistered em pretty good earlier.
