   Heat Wave about ready to start... looks like a hot next 7-8 days....

      Surface temps on Lake Ontario are already around 72 degrees, I wonder how thick that layer of warm water will be after this event.....Yesterday we got about an 1/8th inch of rain and that's all the rain we have recieved in the last 16 days, We got 4 inches in 3 days at the end of June which  had just brought us back to normal after a 3 week dry spell.. looks like another one could be forming... The Big Res. was about 3 feet down before last weekend's water release, I'll be driving up there next week to see what it looks like....  Spring started late, but looks like another warm water year for Ontario, good for bait populations....

  Better pray for a southeast wind bro... Have you looked at the western end temps?  mid 70's now..that thermocline will be digging deeper and farther offshore without an offshore wind to get some upwelling going..... slowly though...

  For your sake I hope it all works out Adam , but it wouldn't break my heart if this "Salmon Blitz" is over for a while and they got scattered... My interests are tied to the River...They can't run the River in September , if there headed to Nj. in a cooler right now.... ;D
