A Monster Thunderstorm ripped through our area this afternoon, dropping another 3/4's of an inch of rain in about 15 minutes bringing our 2 day total too about 2.3 inches...great Drought buster...might not have filled the Res. much, but stopped that 1 1/2 feet a week it was loosing right in it's tracks....great news....
Well it must be August the salmon debate is in full swing... my 2 cents..you want to hook 80.....lift/line them, you want to maybe get 2 or 3 hook ups from real biters....fish for them... and yes I'm a great bobber liner at the genny, just because you got a float on doesn't mean you can't line  salmon...  Our river has no deep staging area like the Genny or even Oswego for that matter, so much less biters over here... too each there own..it's all about how many hook ups you want in my opinion...

I wouldn't doubt a few kings snuck in today, upwelling cold waters from east winds and the River has cooled decent this week, then the rains... perfect conditions, but I've never seen too much before the 20nd.....

Great walleye and catfish fishery in the spring/summer too.  Walleye taste horrible but still fun to catch.
