we were in 400 feet down 145. saw an ungodly amount of salmon down 400. staging for a run? we  were marking hundreds of fish right on bottom. biggens.

Those ones down in 400' must have been to hot and looking for the Air Conditioned water.. For us at 100' we were right at 50.2 Degrees..Lot of fish... just didn't seem to want what we had..We got one Coho about 16 pounds.. rest were all Steelhead...

I'm itching to get up.  I am close enough that a day trip on short notice is possible as long as I am off.  Last year I was up just after the labor day weekend for a day trip and did ok, another day in the 3rd week, the week of the flood and the week after.  I am coming up the 7th-14th of Oct and have a buddy thats up the week before and I will be doing a couple days with him.  I would like to hook up and meet some of you guys.  Snagger....when you going to come let me take you on a couple WNY Erie tribs.....  If anyone wants to try something different and come to fish the WNY Erie tribs  for steel just let me know.

i had a trip today right out of oswego fishing 400 FOW and 120-150 down, all the fish came on cut bait we went 6-6 plus a couple fish that hit but ran right into the dipsys. we got 2 majors 27-31 3 teens and a steelhead
herring strips or whole bait?  We tried everything yesterday. Whole bait. Herring strips, sushi flies, even whipped out a j plug. It wasn't our day. Everyone else was doing well though

I like this new pool...much better than the old pool.. Green steel bridge was rustic looking, but I think I like this better....still say they should have built a fishing parking lot under the bridge on the other side...

Higher than the town bridge on the salmon shop side..  9 foot fly rods would be cake...you could run a 10 6 great on the north side, you'd half to get in the water to run a 13 6 float rod...or just get used to side ripping when the float goes under.... we will find out soon enough...
