Got any chartruse green thread and fine sliver wire?? I tie with peacock heral down to 18... smaller then that I just take a black sharpie to the thread to change color old school technique.. remember all nymphs use the 3 thirds method two thirds for the tail or abdomen and one third for the wing case segment .. I think my dry tail are shank lenght and my nymph tail are gape to gape and a half max.. sorry been a while since I did a lot of tieing and beards are to the hook poit or 1/3 some times depending on fly?? Very nice tie none the the swamp rat .. takes a lot of patience to tie small ..
Went with bluegill bugs today, still hoping for spring.......
.....a few of my nymphs
.I been tying a ton of these had good luck from spring to fall with these..tons a different colors there strange but they really produce fish and lots of them..browns and bows attack them and I tied a few bead head hares ear nymphs but I basically stick the this tie..
Nice assortment.Look at you up at 2:42 am tying up stuff, I passed out before half time of the Syracuse/Duke game.Up this morning with a cup of coffee tying some beetles
3:42 actually. You need to adjust your profile time. I crashed out early yesterday and woke up early as well. Sizematters, it's olive bucktail. I tie them on a large needle on the vise to form the tail.Rg
