   Six pounds...



People are asking about eating smelt. Are they decent to eat? We just get frozen ones here in 5 to 6 inches in the winter and use them on tip ups for pike.

Also are those considered big lake trout where you fish?




         Smelt are great to eat...
For that lake they are average, but there are some bigger ones that run 15 to20 pounds.....
