We just fueled the Coast Guard Helocopter and they are back out for the recovery. I'm sure they will be back for fuel so I will find out what I can from them. Cheeks out!!! 8)

I heard that they hit the 113 buoy at Messenger. I was out fishing last night with my girlfriend and we could see all the commotion going on out there. We knew something terrible must have happened. Very tragic news. The guy they pulled from the water said he thought they hit a rock in the middle of the lake ..... that's pretty much what 113 is. Sucks.

Coast Guard pilots have timed out. Canadian rescue chopper has taken over. Still no sign of the fisherman. Cheeks out!!! 8)

It looks like they have been recovered but I am not sure if they are alive. Very sad news.

just saw it on the news. the sherrifs dept. confirmed that 3 bodys were recovered. it's a sad day on onieda lake. our thoughts ,and prayers go out to the family. it was a father, and his 2 sons.   sully

Absolutely horrible news. I can't even imagine the grief that the wife/mother is experiencing.

As much as we love that lake, it's a harsh reminder about how ugly she can be. Very terrible thing to happen to a family. God Bless them.
