Got 7 last night, dumped several others including what would have been my best one this year.  No shad in their bellies just sand pike I think. Good bite right at dusk that died fairly quickly.
shut up and fish

Nice job slamboney. Sounds like they're warming up. I haven't had time to get out in over a month. Hopefully soon!

uhhh did you read the 2 posts right before your question?
I was berated for fishing & asked recently by a PETA type.  You don't keep fish do you?  I responded "No I don't like aquariums. I just treat them like a quick haircut, & take a little of the sides"

Nice job slammy, this stubborn upper level low in Canada should keep the wind machine going for days, have fun, wish I was down there with you.

Fished tonight and managed one walleye from the boat on the south shore. Fish in 6 feet of water. On the way into the marina a saw about half dozen walleyes next to shore using that spotlight. I fished to deep

The fish are definitely in. Picked up 3 in 30 minutes, once I figured out what lure they wanted. Missed about 5 other hits because I'm out of practice.  Bite seemed to last about 45 minutes.
Biggest was a 20" and smallest 16.5".  Tight lines.

Big Ol' south wind tonight. Coach and I picked up a few after our lodge meeting. Had to work for them for sure. Coach topped me once again.

Just wondering if this fall walleye shore bite is only on Oneida? Or is this normal for other walleye waters too? I live near Sacandaga, and while I do well in the spring, I've tried a few times in the fall with absolutely no luck.

Prety much everywhere gets some kind of a shallow bite in the fall...  Points, creek/river mouths, weed edges, bait...
