Anybody going out tonight? I cant seem to find anybody to go with. None of my buddies are into fishing really. And the others I fish with are too old and dont like fishing at night ::) Shoot me a PM if anybody wants to go out tonight ;D
Opinions are like @ssholes. Everybody has one and they all stink.

Does anyone use Xraps and if so, do you prefer the size 8 or 10 ?

A blue/silver #10 Xrap is my go-to lure when the wind is whipping and the waves are crashing.  Also have good luck with it once the water gets real cold, on a super slow retrieve with intermittent pauses.  I file off about half of the plastic lip, which gives it a tighter wobble, and keeps it up closer to the surface.  Never fished much with the #8's, but I know guys who have great luck with that size too.

I guess you answered my question. Is the key to keep the lure close to the surface ? the xrap will get down about 3 ftor so. Is that too far down ?

fishing tomorrow during the day, would I be better off trolling or should I be drifting and throwing a jig or sonar for walleyes?

Try anything and everything.  There's no one lure or retrieve that is going to work every time.  I bring two rods, one riged with a stick bait and one with a twister.  If neither get hit, I start changing stick baits and tails until I find something they like, or get to tired and go home.

Good luck!
