Woke up to 31 degrees this morning and whitecaps on the lake. Wanted to get my girlfriend on some fish before we wrap things up. Got out to the hole and had a rough time for a few hours. Drift was too fast, even with the sock out. Kept slipping anchor. Finally, the wind settled a bit, and I got the anchor to grab... Then it was fun! Great Thanksgiving Morning.

Deep water on fatheads/spreader rigs. Water temp dropped a degree since yesterday. Now at 45.6 mid-lake.

Very, very nice pile of perch! Thanks for the water temp report also. Do you vacuum seal those filets bound for the freezer? I got a vacuum sealer last year to try out and the 'eyes taste just about fresh caught after months in the freezer. Used to freeze in water but it takes up lots of room in the freezer. Again, very nice job on those hog perch.

Thanks KP...I hope so too!  It's been quite a dry spell on the buck...either working or back problems but we are working on making those two things much less prevalent!!! :thumbup_smilie: :flag:

Of the 1,873 times we have fished Oneida  ::), I can remember one time saying to Tank - "those guys are doing prety well on tip-ups"...
We had 30-40 perch each by then but oh well...  ;D
i think i was with you that day.
