temp was 36 on the shore in muskrat bay before the warm up. seeing alot of dead shad here to. the shore bite isn't good here at all. i've only caught 2 walleyes this fall !! last year at this time I had caught 52. Can't wait for hard water !!! I think it's going to be a good perch year.   later...

I'm with you fishooksul, last year I just really started fishing for fall walleye and i hooked onto about 30 -35. This year to date I have caught 8 walleye. you can see why I am confused but I have learned quite a bit. next year, will probably be getting a sized boat for oneida lake and not my 14' lund with a 9.9 horse for just the calm days.

Yeah I wouldn't want to be in a 14fter this time of year either ! I've got a 14ft duanaughtic with a 25hp johnson, and put it away by nov. 1st. I used to break ice every year with the 21fter, but now i can't afford to break it now. had a frozen exaust manifold more than once !!   sully...

Is the fishing access and boat launch still open at lewis point on the south shore?

They have a parking lot where you can walk or sled to the lake but the point is private now with a big gate.
