Hey what's your favorite topwater bait for bass, both largemouth and smallmouth? Mine is a #7 rapala skitterpop in frog color. Best blooping and walking action of any popper.

I love a jitterbug in bullfrog color or a excalibur popper in shiner color those seem to do the best for me.

A chartreuse spinnerbait retrieved quickly making a wake on the surface.
The smallies smash the fark out of them!

Senko's on top of slop for largemouth. That is fun, too.
Just remember to wait three seconds before setting the Texas-rigged hook.
 ;)

I don't have much patience for poppers. I use them for 'gills mostly.

Skitter Pop in frog or Blue and jitterbugs ;D Love those things. But, when they're really aggressive, a buzzbait is awesome when fish are flyin' out of the water after em'

Zara Spook, Jitterbug, and Hula-Popper.... Caught lots of bass on each but would have to side with the spook if I had to pick just one. If flyfishin, the smallies seem to love a big ole' hornberg.

I bought my first zara spook last night. Can't wait till the water warms up a bit to try it out.

Zara Spook or a Strike King triple bladed buzzbait.  I love seeing fish hit the water on the surface. ;D

Big Zara Spook in the open water or around the weeds and drops.  Dark colored Scum Frog in the slop never fails!!

Yeah, I had the same problem getting hook ups with the scumfrog. It was a terrible hook ratio, untill I got a trailer hook, now it's a different story ;)
Can't catch a fish without a line in the water....
