I was out on a lake this morning in a black fly hatch. Not much of a breeze so they swarmed us.

It's been strange. Here in Windham they were horrible last week around the house, yesterday I was up in Gardiner and they were thick in the bright sun, came home to Windham mid day and stayed outside until well after dark and not a single one?

I saw BIG V formations of them flying your way over the past week. I thought they were shags.

My truck was still full of them this morning....the rain coming should help (ugghhh).

Yes, they hatched big time.  Was working in the garden Saturday and needed to wear a long sleeve shirt just to keep them off my arms.
