Mac...how's the knee coming along ??
I bought a Don Joy knee brace.
It arrived Saturday and donna went back home to retrieve it for me.
The brace helps.
The pain is now soreness and I can get around.
As a matter of fact, I'm headed to a jobsite in a few minutes to take a few pressure and flow readings on a combustion blower I need to replace.
I cannot do a ladder so the boat needs to wait at least another week.
Besides, Jeff got called out of town to W. Virginia for 2-3 weeks of some service work.
Great opportunity for him, but he is now out of the picture for helping to finish this boat.
We need to pull some more cables up to the cuddy from the transom.
I am mounting the onboard charger for the 2 main batteries up in the cuddy.
I'm doing this because I will have the 3 trolling motor deep cycle batteries and their 3 bank charger up there.
This will allow me to pair both AC plugs into an outlet for an extension cord up front and make it easier to plug the boat into an AC source.
It also putts all that weight up front which will help for running the boat.
I'm also contemplating of installing a Minn Kota 3-bank alternator off the main motor to help charge the 3 deep cycle batteries when running.
So 2 of the cables for that will need to pull rear to the transom area to connect to the main motor's alternator.
Still a bunch of work to do.
The knee will hamper things but I'll get it done.
But I'm afraid the walleye season is quickly running out.
I'll get some fishing in.
Back to the knee.
I've decided to wait to go see the surgeon.
I will need surgery.
I'm not a newbee to this with the 3 I have had over the years on my right nee.
But I'll wear this brace for the time being and go see the surgeon in the Fall after we close the lake place and get the boat winterized and put away.
Thanks for asking.
