I think it could use a third as well, but I am going with it’s the bottom and the fish will be distracted to the point that they’ll bite anything!

(Or I ordered enough paint for two coats not appreciating that the light gray is covering dark gray)

Picked up the princess from Fish Creek Campground last night (Dacker, I called out for you when I drove through). First thing she said this morning was “we’re painting tonight, right”?

Definitely not a big lake boat, but it’s a personal project. We FaceTimed with my dad as the princess was finishing up the coat, and he was very emotional and broad of the work his granddaughter was putting in.

I ended the call with “can’t wait until you set the hook on your first fish in the remodeled boat”.

Here’s to hoping it happens.

Always remember to take the boots you need to replace so you buy the right ones…

So, onward and upward. Bunks are done, quite the improvement from the shaggy carpet that was on the trailer:

New bunks, on the saw horses in the basement because the bolts I bought were too short:



Will get proper bolts tomorrow, along with paint for the trailer. No sense on putting the bunks on until it’s painted!
