Well finally after drooling and reading all your posts and looking at the pics I am going to make it down tomorrow! Hope you guys left a few. Launching out of Godfrey will be in a tan 16ft Sylvan with a force motor. Stop by and say "Hi". Don't know if we can match our May trip, but will give it a try.Hopefully I will give a good report on Monday and will try again to post some pics.

Me and my next door neighbor bob and deadeyes fished last night from 630pm til 930pm, lake was pretty flat, we got our 9 keeper eyes ..... some deep (32-40) and some in close in 12-16 ft...  We had a 1hr jiggathon in front of the flasher with ice rods, it was fun but not many biters, screen was full but they just chased the lures, I think if we had buckeye heads we could seal the deal...  Sonars produced most the fish.  Those bugs were insane last night, wish I had a camera, bob's thermocell did nothing to them. I litterally had to stop fishin to shake em out of my hair.  They don't bite and I stayed deep a touch later last night, so only had to deal with them for a half hour. Waldo's were gorging on wigglers again, fun to watch, I think I ended up with 6 keepers eyes and 13 eyes total last night and a few bass, 1 perch.

YES.  Just have to get used to how fast it drops and when it hits bottom JIG it. Most strikes come on the fall so make every jig like you have a fish. Cant really fish it wrong. Have caught them just slow reeling and jigging before it hits. Good luck.

Don't use html codes.  Copy the IMG code from photobucket and paste it in your message.
